first few days in cape town   January 28th, 2010 by Nikola

Straight of the airport had a meeting with Dan about his race kit and some other projects. Dan and I get things done very quickly when we are face to face but working over email and skype can be slow – any time we can get to meet up and organize things is valuable.

This is a nice photo of Dan and his new car by Kelfords, small project we produced few months ago (website coming soon!), and behind you can see the new Cape Town football stadium, all ready for the world cup.

Two days later I met with Conrad to work on his preparation for 2010. We started with a short swim, met with his new coach Ian (more info will follow!) and worked our way through a ton of projects, ton of food, three cafes and dozens of coffees.

Places for good relaxed coffees which I recommend in Cape Town: Giovanni’s on Main Street, Greenpoint, Cafe Neo on Beach Road, Greenpoint (in front of Moullie Point) and Mount Nelson Hotel has a nice teahouse (happy hour with all you can eat cakes from 2:30PM till 6PM!).

Always great to be back in Cape Town.

On Monday triathlon team dinner in Moyo Stellenbosch – Dan, Conrad, Gavin and Fraser… If you are around and you can relate to triathlon and such subjects you are welcome to join us.
