fraser cartmell 20th @ ironman 70.3 world championship November 14th, 2009 by Nikola

In 2007 Fraser was 7th in Ironman 70.3 World Championship with a 1:17:16 run.
In 2008 Fraser was 10th with a 1:18:21 run.
Today Fraser was 20th with a 1:19:31 run.
Fraser was distracted by injuries for past two years.
Also competition drastically increased in past three years.
Triathlon team 2009 season has ended today and now we focus on 2010.
The team and all of its members will be around for another 100 years – today was only one of many World Championships which await us.
I think Fraser did great. He inspires me.
In spite of an injury he keeps going on and gives his best. He would enjoy it more if he was few seconds or maybe even a minute or two faster, but to me he is amazingly fast. A Ferrari can maybe go just a bit faster sometimes but it is still a Ferrari.
To be a professional triathlete is amazing, it is one of the hardest and toughest careers and Fraser manages it well.
Next month is for preparing the team for 2010…
